This site is focused broadly on all descendants of John Denboe, an indentured servant who came to the Crown Colony of Maryland in about the year 1664. Also, it maintains a special emphasis on the descendants of John Denbow (1797-1862) and his brother Bazeleel (1795-1857), early pioneers in the hills of Southeastern Ohio, as well as the descendants of Jón Jónsson (1841-1934) of Dalasýsla, Iceland, who was an Icelandic immigrant to Canada and now has progeny throughout North America.

Obituary: Newspaper clipping in the possession of Jean Reid Edwards. Name and date of paper are cut off. 

AUDREY L. REID, 74 Audrey Leona (Allen) Reid, 74, of 203 W. Main Street, Sykesville, died Tuesday, March 27, 1984, inthe Maple Avenue Hospital in DuBois following a short illness.  Mrs. Reid was born January 25, 1910, in DuBois, the daughter of William and Nettie (Fike) Allen. She was married to John Reid, who survives.       

A Sykesville area resident for most of her life, Mrs. Reid was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Sykesville.  Surviving relatives include her husband, John Reid; one daughter, Geraldine Reid, at home; one daughter-in-law, Evelyn Reid of Sykesville; three grandchildren, Donna Radaker, Roberta Gallagher and Don Reid; six  great-grandchildren; one brother, Daniel Allen of Elizabeth; and one sister, Velma (Dolly) Vadasy of Syracuse, New York. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and one son, Donald.      

Friends will be received in the John S. Hazuda Funeral Home in Sykesville Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday until the time of services at 1 p.m. The Rev. John LaShell will officiate.  Interment will follow in Morningside Cemetery.
