Hillbillies & Vikings
This site is focused broadly on all descendants of John Denboe, an indentured servant who came to the Crown Colony of Maryland in about the year 1664. Also, it maintains a special emphasis on the descendants of John Denbow (1797-1862) and his brother Bazeleel (1795-1857), early pioneers in the hills of Southeastern Ohio, as well as the descendants of Jón Jónsson (1841-1934) of Dalasýsla, Iceland, who was an Icelandic immigrant to Canada and now has progeny throughout North America.

Note - The 38 [or 43 check] Climax Street home was also a combination
notions/ice cream store which Ed Rieck purchased for Emma Michel after
Oscar died.
According to the family story, the Luther League from Christ Lutheran
Church would sometimes meet at the store where they would roll up the
rug and dance and have ice cream.
Esther Minnie Michel was needed to w ork in the store and was unableto
complete grade school.
Living down the street from the Michels was the Finch family where
Walter Michel's wife Sophie Marie Finch ws raised. Her parents were:
George Haddon Finch and Minna Etta Siveinsburgh.
