Anecdote |
20 Apr 1887 [1] |
- Henry's death record states the cause of death as drowning. The Bobo Family History, Draft Manuscript, Revised 1990, by Charles Henry Bobo offers the recollections of several family members. It seems that Henry was fond of drinking and as he was returning home, he missed the bridge over Raccoon Creek and walked into the creek. He was drowned in Raccoon Creek just below the bridge west of Zaleski near the Vanderford Farm. The creek was at flood stage and his body remained in the water for some time before it was recovered. When it was recovered, the feet had swollen so much that his shoes had to be cut off. Henry Bobo and Susan Wade Bobo became members of the First Christian Church of McArthur, Ohio in 1871.
