This site is focused broadly on all descendants of John Denboe, an indentured servant who came to the Crown Colony of Maryland in about the year 1664. Also, it maintains a special emphasis on the descendants of John Denbow (1797-1862) and his brother Bazeleel (1795-1857), early pioneers in the hills of Southeastern Ohio, as well as the descendants of Jón Jónsson (1841-1934) of Dalasýsla, Iceland, who was an Icelandic immigrant to Canada and now has progeny throughout North America.

Obit: The Republican Tribune, Thurs. Jan. 21, 1915 Death of Aged Man (Hope Cor.) Mr. F. (not E.) W. Sharp, an aged and respected citizen of this place passed away last Wednesday afternoon, after an illness of many months. Mr. Sharp was well liked by all who knew him and will be sadly missed, not only at home, but by the entire community. The funeral services held by Rev. Moore at the home last Saturday was largely attended by friends and relatives. Interment was made in Hope Cemetery. Elias and Mary Sharp's house and 52 acre farm was located between Zaleski and Lake Hope, Ohio on Rt. 278, right across from the entrance to Lake Hope State Park. The house has since been torn down. Elias was a successful livestock dealer and teamster and was associated with Don Martindill in this business for many years. He was also a farmer.
