This site is focused broadly on all descendants of John Denboe, an indentured servant who came to the Crown Colony of Maryland in about the year 1664. Also, it maintains a special emphasis on the descendants of John Denbow (1797-1862) and his brother Bazeleel (1795-1857), early pioneers in the hills of Southeastern Ohio, as well as the descendants of Jón Jónsson (1841-1934) of Dalasýsla, Iceland, who was an Icelandic immigrant to Canada and now has progeny throughout North America.

Amelia L. Barton Obituary

Amelia L. Barton, 88, of 400 Mill St., Trinity House Apartments, Columbia, PA died on Monday at Hospice of Lancaster Co.  She was the wife of the late David M. Barton, Sr. who preceded her in death in1992.

Born in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late George and Daisey Nipple Lilley.  She was last employed as a collator for Mifflin Press Co. in Columbia.  She was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church in Columbia and the Altar Rosary Society.

Surviving are 2 Sons: David M., Jr. husband of Tina Barton and Clifford J. Barton, both of Columbia, and 2 Daughters: Elizabeth A. Fry of Columbia and Jane L. wife of Carl Grubb of Sierra Vista, AZ.  Also surviving are 12 Grandchildren, 22 Great-Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great Granddaughter; a Brother: James Lilley of Lancaster and a Sister: Clara Lucas of Rheems.  She was predeceased by a Son: Abram C. Barton; Brothers: George and Horace Lilley; and a Sister: Beatrice Lilley.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held from St. Peters Catholic Church, 2nd & Union Sts., Columbia, PA on Friday, October 19, 2007 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Fr. Peter I. Hahn as Celebrant.  Final Commendation and Farewell will be in St. Peters Catholic Cemetery.  Friends may call at the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, Inc., 519 Walnut St., Columbia, PA on Friday, October 19, 2007 from 9:30 AM until the departure to the Church.  At Amelias request, please omit flowers.  Memorial contributions in her memory to St. Peters Catholic Church, 2nd & Union Sts., Columbia, PA 17512 would be deeply appreciated.
