This site is focused broadly on all descendants of John Denboe, an indentured servant who came to the Crown Colony of Maryland in about the year 1664. Also, it maintains a special emphasis on the descendants of John Denbow (1797-1862) and his brother Bazeleel (1795-1857), early pioneers in the hills of Southeastern Ohio, as well as the descendants of Jón Jónsson (1841-1934) of Dalasýsla, Iceland, who was an Icelandic immigrant to Canada and now has progeny throughout North America.

CAME AS A GREAT SURPRISE:. David B. Sharp of Albany and Miss Hattie Stiles of Athens Married Christmas
A very pretty wedding took place at the home of Mr. and Mrs. D.A.R. McKlnstry on West State street Christmas morning, when Miss Hattie Stiles and Mr. David B. Sharp were united in holy matrimony. The affair came as a complete surprise to the McKlnstry family, with whom Miss Stiles has made her home for several years past. No inkling of the happy surprise was given them until the Rev. Dr. Slutz of the First Methodist church drove to the McKinstry home in a cab and asked for the parties “who were ready to be married." "Dick" denied that there were any such parties in the house, but Dr. Slutz was not to be fooled and walked in and found the bridal pair awaiting him. Miss Stiles for several years been the efficient deputy in the Probate Court and has a host of friends in Athens county. Mr. Sharp is a native of Lee township, and resides at Albany. He is now the able principal of the Luhrig public schools where he is sustaining his reputation as a educator of the first class. The happy couple will spend the week in Albany as the guests of friends. They will continue their present vocations until spring when they will very probably locate in their own home in Athens or Albany.
